Two supporting characters occasionally drop by: Bainsley (Mélanie Thierry), a pneumatic fantasy girl clad in the kind of PVC jumpsuits that passed for sexy in the mid-1990s but now look faintly tragic, and Bob (Lucas Hedges), the aforementioned hacker. Both rapidly outstay their welcome, as do Tilda Swinton’s rapping virtual psychiatrist, and a jobsworth boss played by David Thewlis, gamely channelling Eric Idle.
